Wolves head coach Bruno Lage has hailed his side’s “personality” after their “strange” 2-1 win over Brentford.
The first half of the match at the Brentford Community Stadium was stopped due to a drone flying over the stadium.
The players returned after around 20 minutes to see out the opening 45 minutes.
Portuguese midfielders Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves were on the scoresheet for Wolves. Adama Traore thought he had added a third, but his late goal was disallowed.
Lage speaking to BBC Match of the Day, said: “Strange things today but most importantly was that we came with personality, we came with consistency that we are doing in this month. It was a very good start of the year, three wins in the Premier League and one win in the [FA] cup and we come with the right mentality. So three points, good goals and I think we controlled the game with the ball that’s why I’m happy today with my boys.”
On the drone: “Tried to understand what happened, tried to find the man who controlled the drone then we come inside and talk a little bit about the game. Sometimes we don’t have that time during the game to chat and we talked a little bit. I think it was a strange first half too many stops but I think in the second half, we started very well. We were the better team in the second half, we scored early, we controlled the game.”
On his team’s goals: “I said in the beginning of the year that the goals will come because we are working very hard and also we have to understand what kind of players we have. We cannot be crossing the balls especially against them they are very good at defending the crosses. First goal it was very good and our second one the same.”
Tottenham are reportedly interested in Spain winger Traore, and had a £15million bid rejected earlier this week.
On the 25-year-old’s future, Lage said: “I am very happy with him and I think he is very happy with us so he played 25 minutes and brings a lot of energy and scored the third [disallowed] goal to finish the game, you see the way he celebrate and he comes to me and we share a hug between us. I’m very happy with him.”
